Position: Property Sales and Letting Assistant
Pay rate: £9.50ph + BONUS
Location: Orton Southgate, Peterborough
Hours: 37.5hrs p/wk
Term: 12 weeks (Turning Point Internship)
Start date: ASAP

Open House Cambridgeshire is a newly established franchise, with a core focus on Cambridge, Peterborough and its surrounding towns and villages. Our deep knowledge of this territory helps us to understand the local property market, and indeed, our people.

The Role

  • Research into the local property market, understand trends and be informed when speaking with clients.
  • Shadow an experienced Property Agent to learn best practice.
  • Undertake training to familiarise yourself with the industry and understand the process of property purchase/ sales / lettings and tenancy management.
  • Gather spec information, taking measurements and arranging for pictures to be taken for sale or rental properties.
  • Meet with clients to establish a relationship, conduct property viewings, understand their needs and generally provide an excellent customer experience, to build a client base in your geographical area.
  • Present properties in a professional and informed manner to prospective buyers.
  • Utilise marketing techniques and mediums to promote sale and rental properties and foster interest in potential buyers and landlords.
  • Contributing towards attainment of company targets.
  • Converse confidently with clients in person, on the phone and via email.
  • Liaise with all elements of the purchase and rental chain to ensure smooth transition at each stage.
  • Management of sale and rental contracts.
  • Continue to maintain client relationships after sale and during tenancy to ensure they are happy and settled to foster repeat business/referrals and general continued maintenance support.
  • Keep administrative records updated.

Requirements

  • Must have a Full UK Driving Licence, and access to a vehicle. (Mileage allowance will be provided)
  • Confident and clear communication skills (both written and verbal) with the ability to conduct professional and credible presentations
  • Basic IT knowledge
  • An enthusiastic self-starter who remains motivated to work independently.
  • Organised and efficient at prioritising own workload.
  • Able to work autonomously with initiative and to multi task under pressure
